The shoes you wear, the way you walk and stand will be effecting your whole skeletal structure and your Anatomy trains and causing pain through out your body if not properly balanced. Your toes are very important for propelling you forward, your walking and running gate needs your toes to be spread evenly apart and all of them pointing forward.
if your big toe is bent inwards this will be causing you to walk in a crooked fashion making you unbalanced, less powerful and and you will be forcing an unnatural amount of pressure on you outer side of your foot, the arch of your foot, your knees and hips and lower back, causing inflammation and pain.
1st buy wider shoes and walk bare foot more often. here is a video that explains what type of shoes you should be considering if you have pain: https://youtu.be/IgR8DxvFCyI?si=LNy-bB3Nli02-uba
2nd bending and flexing your toes, spreading them part, and pointing and flexing
3rd wear this correction tape on your big toe all day and night, it will correct and compensate.
If you have limited big toe mobility, it should be 40 to 45 degrees of motion, it will be affecting how you walk. Even worse it could be the cause of your neck, back, hip, knee pain!
